From August 2022 to July 2024, whilst still operating my PR consultancy, I served as the Director of the Hanson FilmTV Institute at the University of Arizona. I was tasked with relaunching and leading the Hanson FilmTV Institute out of its two-year dormancy following the pandemic, with vision and a new strategy to guide it in a direction that would positively impact student learning and experience at University of Arizona's School of Theatre Film & Television, and develop the Institute's cultural significance whilst advancing its regional, national and international visibility.

Some highlights of what I was able to accomplish include bringing Academy Award®-winning screenwriter & director Cord Jefferson to the Institute to participate in an intimate conversation with the film school’s students from underrepresented communities; developing student programs to travel to film festivals such as Sundance and SXSW to learn about festivals and their role in the film industry landscape; and developing a program of screenings and filmmaker visits.

The role gave me the privilege to mentor some extraordinary students, many of whom I am still engaging with today.
